Man this is really sad, but the guy needs to go to Japan and China and find rich multi-millionaires/billionaires who are into audio and cds and so forth! they're out there! And I'm sure they'd look after the collection fine.

Good luck to this man and I hope the music doesn't become physically destroyed!

I find this story frustrating as a musician and a New Yorker who hears ALLOT of a great musicians in the subway everyday. The city is a busy place and people are going places. This is not the story it sets itself up to be. The story itself is a set up, "oh look, no one stops to listen to the amazing musician" but, that's not actually what happens always. It depends on allot of factors. Often people DO stop and listen to a great musician and there are allot of GREAT musicians already playing in the subway. Sometimes you'll hear a musician that is obviously an immigrant and obviously was playing in an orchestra back home. I'll often stop and listen a bit and give them some money, if I am not rushing off to a gig I have to make myself. So....

It wouldn't make sense if music was just sound! It isn't! Plus, the dashboard being in a different angle helps very much usability in opperating the sinth when seated. I wish my microkorg xl + wasn't so stiff I could modd it in a way I didn't have to stand while operating the nobs.

Bottomline, Khoral, shut up and take my money!

I remember when that collection was on eBay in 2008ish.

It's a sad story that this collection still cannot find a home. I read the LoC was considering it, but they simple didn't have the space.

Even at $3 Million, that would be the tip of the iceberg compared to paying for the shipping and the facility which could keep this collection in good shape for the foreseeable future.

Were I a Paul Allen type, I would purchase this immediately and make some kind of institution out of it.

Mein gott! He even looks like young Einstein. Not Yahoo Serious. Really, Einstein as a young cyberpunk. This is unreal. Also very good sounding. If young Albert had had musical cred while he was tinkering with junk tossed out behind the Patent Office, this might have been the result, and the world would have been different. No atomic bomb, but atomic music. Imagine wars fought by bands competing for applause. Instead of land mines and brass cartridges, countries would be littered with Pignoses, Monotrons, and guitar picks. Is it wrong to dream?
