Synth porn (the other kind)
Ok, so we all love looking at gratuitous pictures of old analogue synths and huge studios, which we like to call “synthporn”.
Well, courtesy of Kevin Lightner, here’s an example of the “other” kind of synthporn- an exerpt from an old adult movie with a huge Moog modular in the room.
I’ve been told it might have been Walter Sear’s studio in NY, but have no way of verifying this. The title of the film is More Private Lessons. Ripped from a VHS tape and digitized using a low-budget video setup, it’s just here to have a good laugh.
The clip cuts off before anything risque is shown, all we get to see is the Moog modular and some incredibly bad acting and dialogue (“how about if you leave the console just like it’s set up… please don’t touch it, it’s got high voltage!”)
I’m told that the band Mr. Bungle sampled part of this movie for the end of the track that was appropriately called “My Ass is on Fire”.
