Guitar-playing birds
Céleste Boursier-Mougenot is a visual/installation artist from France, and one of his most recent works involves birds and a guitars. He has recorded the behaviour of birds who have been lured to land on and ‘play’ at the strings of an electric guitar.
His installation for The Curve will take the form of a walk-though aviary for a flock of zebra finches, furnished with electric guitars and other instruments and objects. As the birds go about their routine activities, perching on or feeding from the various pieces of equipment, they create a captivating, live soundscape.
I love the idea, if not the ‘music. This piece is scheduled to be on display at the Barbican Art Gallery in London, beginning on February 27 and running until May 23.

this excellent!
A bird building a nest on the guitar? Awesome! Will the hatchlings ultimately form a family band? (The Byrds???;o)
I would have tuned the guitar to an open tuning, but what a great idea!
Haha that is very entertaining!
