Korg Monotron Demo

A few weeks ago, we reported on the new Korg Monotron synthesizer, a $67 synth from Korg with a touch-sensitive keyboard. The battery-powered synth is a full-featured analogue synth, with VCO, LFO and VCF knobs and a ribbon controller.

A ton of people have bought these (hey, who can go wrong with an analogue synth for $67!), but I’ve yet to see anything interesting done on one.

Koishistyle comes to the rescue with a great demo of the Monotron – it’s a song recorded entirely with one of these mini synths, and it’s fantastic. Check it out:

It just proves that it’s not the size, but how you use it that counts!
