this is pathetically un-realistic and destroys some of the best music to come out of this era…. this is a joke really. The sound quality is distorted and the swung is soo badly over exaggerated it sounds like a young middle school jazz band trying to play swung notes.

You have to download Python to run the script (search for ActivePython if you’re on Windows. If you’re on Linux you probably already have it. Don’t know about Macs, sorry).. After you download and install Python, you’ll need to download the module/API that allows you to run swinger.py. The API is right here: http://code.google.com/p/echo-nest-remix/ Finally, you can download the script linked in the article and you should be able to run it (you’ll have to do this from the command line, as Python doesn’t use a graphical interface by default). Hope this helps.

I thought the synth umbrella was cool, but I’d have to wait for it to rain to write a song with it. Think I’ll stick to Reason 4, and Pro Tools, with the odd bit of guitar thrown in.

The synth cakes looked tasty.
