The tell tale beat

I was checking out XKCD today and came across something that I thought I would share: The Tell Tale Beat (click for a larger version):
It reminded me so much of how my family must feel, constantly having to content with the incessant sound of me tuning the sound of a drum track for hours on end. It’s amazing how the Boom-tss-Boom-tss 909-style beat is still prevalent and relevant in so much music, even after a good 40 years.
