The Piano Table
Personally, I don’t mind cramming a ton of music gear into a small space (hey, it’s cozy), but I can see how it might be difficult for some people, especially if they live in a small apartment or loft. So you’ve got a bachelor apartment – where do you put your drum kit or piano?
As it turns out, designer Georg Bohle has solved one of these problems. Let’s say you’re sitting down, finishing your nice meal, and creativity strikes… what do you do? Well, you flip up the lid of your piano table and go for it!
If you’ve got room for a dining table, you’ve got room for a piano. Crafted from oak, this table conceals an electric piano under a wooden tablet cut on one side.
It’s fabulously simple, has sleek, clean lines and a nice polished look to it. It’s definitely a nice piece of furniture.
Unfortunately though, it sells for around $6000, meaning that it might be out of reach of the very people people who it’s targeted at and live in small apartments. I love the idea, I just wish it was a full Moog modular under there.
Now, where do we hide the drum kit?
Just when I thought I had everything piano-related in my store, someone has to go and make a piano table. Haha! I might have to add one to my collection.
…and yes, where DO we hide the drumkit, much less the tuba and the pipe organ. China cabinet? I will work on it and get back to you.
