Dave Smith Prophet 8 review

D. Ramirez is a Music Producer and DJ who was voted DJ Magazine’s Best British Producer and Best British Remixer. He was also nominated for an Ivor Novello award for his remix of Bodyrox Yeah Yeah.

He’s got a fantastic studio filled with all sorts of synths, and has taken it upon himself to start doing video reviews of them for us all. Here is his video review of the Dave Smith Prophet 8 synthesizer.

Tasty. I used to have a Prophet 5, and still wonder to this day what made me part with it, but the Prophet 8 looks like it might be a serious contender for my studio. I guess I need to figure out how to pay for it first.

    Obviously really knows his stuff, but more playing and less talking would be better. Needs editing, and a story as it did *kinda* get a bit ‘yawny’ at times, hope it gets better, as he’s the right guy to be doing this.
