Synthesizer circuit diagram

XKCD had a great comic a little while ago, showing an electronic circuit diagram. I thought that it described extremely well how a lot of synth enthusiasts think of the inside of their instruments and other audio gear, especially with the “magic smoke” and other components.

I found myself looking at the resistor network, almost wondering how I’d work it out, and then read the mouseover on the picture:

“I just caught myself idly trying to work out what that resistor mass would actually be, and realized I had self-nerd-sniped”.

Ain’t that the truth.
