Creepy robotic singing heads

Submitted by on December 11, 2009 – 4:04 pm No Comment

These heads are part of an exhibit at Art Basel Miami Beach – the piece is currently being sold for $75,000.

The 3 creepy heads are made from an actual mold of the artist’s face and are controlled by servos. The servos manipulate the heads and the eyes, causing them to appear to sing along with the music and look around in a very uncomfortable manner. The movements of the heads are all on a 15 minute loop.
