How to recreate Prodigy’s “Smack my bitch up”

Submitted by on December 29, 2009 – 10:45 am No Comment

Prodigy’s ledgendary track “Smack my Bitch up” from the album “The Fat of the Land” was mostly created with a number of samples. In this video, Jim Pavloff shows you how to recreate the track in it’s entirety in Ableton Live.

He shows the source of every sample that Liam used in the song, how it was edited, and how it was effected. He also shows how to create the acid line, and even takes you through how to master the mixed track.

An amazing piece of work. Nice job, Jim.
