How to pronounce “Moog”

Most people pronouce the synthmaker’s name Moog as “Mooog”. Those in the know pronouce it “Mogue”, like “vogue”. It seems as though there is another pronunciation that I didn’t know about, “Moch”.
In any case, here it is straight from Bob Moog himself, taken from a clip from the excellent Moog Documentary.
Personally, I still use “Moooog”, because I get less strange looks when I talk to my non-synth-playing friends.
So, do you say “MiniMogue” or “MiniMoog”…?
I think the whole point of the Moog Rogue was to teach people how to pronounce it, whereas the whole point of moogerfoogers was to make a word nobody would ever know how to pronounce.

I have wondered how “Moog” is pronounced right, too.
I have always used “Mogue” but wasnt sure.

I prefer saying “moooog” it just sounds better to me. Of course it’s his name… so I guess I should do it the way he wants.
I have always used “Mooog”, and will continue to use “Mooog” because it’s more normal. I didn’t actually listen to the video to hear the correct pronunciation because if I hear it I may be tempted to use something other than “Mooog”.
So “Mooog” it is!
