How to pronounce “Moog”

Most people pronouce the synthmaker’s name Moog as “Mooog”. Those in the know pronouce it “Mogue”, like “vogue”. It seems as though there is another pronunciation that I didn’t know about, “Moch”.

In any case, here it is straight from Bob Moog himself, taken from a clip from the excellent Moog Documentary.

Personally, I still use “Moooog”, because I get less strange looks when I talk to my non-synth-playing friends.

So, do you say “MiniMogue” or “MiniMoog”…?
