Birds on the wires: music by birds

Submitted by on September 10, 2009 – 4:00 pm One Comment

To you and I, this just looks like birds hanging out on power lines, but when Jarbas Agnelli saw this picture, she thought “music notation”. Since the picture of the birds on wires resembled music notes on a staff, Jarbas naturally wanted to find out what that music sounded like.

Reading a newspaper, I saw a picture of birds on the electric wires. I cut out the photo and decided to make a song, using the exact location of the birds as notes (no Photoshop edit). I knew it wasn’t the most original idea in the universe. I was just curious to hear what melody the birds were creating.
