Arp Axxe – the halloween synth

An Arp Axxe owner by the name of Nathanial Scott put together this video demo of an Arp Axxe, Dot-Com modular and a paia sequencer. As it turns out, The Axxe seems to be perfectly suited to spooky halloween synthesizer sounds.

He says:

Any analogue synth with a noise generator and a semi-decent filter is great for making spaceship noises. The AXXE is no exception.

My friend Stephen has had an idea about doing a short sci-fi film about ghosts in space (no not Space Ghost). If he an I ever get the film made I hope it has campy sounds like this.

It makes me really wish I hadn’t sold my Arp Axxe a couple of years ago – I really miss that little guy. If you want one yourself, you might be able to find a used Arp Axxe with our auction finder.
