The organ and keyboard “chants” are such a staple of hockey games that this thing almost makes sense. This ingenious crazy looking device is a hockey game that is controlled by a Casio Sk1 keyboard.

Each player on the hockey table is controlled by a different note on the keyboard – when you press a key on the keyboard, the hockey player is activates and shoots, much like the arcade hockey games where you turn a handle to spin a player.

Two video cameras catch the edge-of-the-seat action. Unfortunately, it’s a single-player game. I’d love to see this in a two player format with dueling keyboards. I’d love hate to hear the “music” created with 2 people playing at the same time!

I’m not sure if this type of device would actually make you better at playing the piano/keyboard/synthesizer, but the maker of this, Graeme Patterson, certainly deserves credit for creativity and thinking outside the box.
