Baby Beats

Brendan, aka DJ Expensive Jewelry, was obviously very inspired by Raymond Scott’sSoothing Sounds for Baby” series when he came up with this mix. (Many people don’t know this, but Raymond Scott was Motown’s Director of Electronic Research and Development for some time.)

Nevertheless, like Raymond Scott’s series, DJ Expensive Jewelery’s soothing hiphop instrumental mix is also directed at infants, but has a bit more of a modern feel.  He says:

These days many of the of my favorite people having babies. Since I move around a lot, I rarely get a chance to see them or help out in any way. This instrumental mix is a modest attempt to right that wrong. It provides a nutritious blend of baby-friendly beats to feed a growing mind and nourish a grimey soul.
