Chiptunes album on an NES cartridge
If you love electronic music and just so happen to have an old Nintendo NES system around, this is something that you just have to grab a copy of. Recording artist Animalstyle has released an album as an NES cartridge. That’s right, to hear/see it, you need to stick it into a Nintendo.

The chiptunes-style called “Teletime” album has 10 electronic compositions, and they all use the sound chip in the NES, and at the same time providing 8-bit graphics to go long with the music.

Here’s a taste of what it looks/sounds like:
Awesome, isn’t it?
The album is being released in a short handful of days and he is currently accepting pre-orders. Bear in mind that he’s only making 50 of them, so if you want one, you better get on the list now. You can order it here for 30 bucks.

I can’t help but notice that it’s running in an emulator in the YouTube video. Any idea if they’ll release the ROM-on-a-file version of it for people with access to an emulator but no NES?
This is awesome and brilliant. I’m sure the guy could sell way more than 50 if people knew about this.
